Quite an interesting question, on the one hand the below four function seem more like trademarks of the respective companies and do not seem to be directly linked to Apple. But as Ben states Apple wwrote those applications for their phone so would it confer on Apple a chance to file such marks in its name? The marks do not bear much resemblance with the trademark representations of Youtube, Google Maps itself so will they be allowed by the PTO? Also, most apps that relate to similar GPS services might possess a similar visual representation so would they be not allowed as well?

Apple did write the applications associated with the YouTube, Maps, Weather and Stocks apps, even if they don't supply the data the four applications depend on. They don't supply all the data on the web for Safari, all of the email on your Exchange server for Mail, or your contacts, phonecalls and photos, either.

Since Apple wrote all these apps, I think it's obvious that they can claim a trademark on the visual representation of those applications on the phone.
